Howdy to all and Happy Halloween!
I am new to the office here in Austin, as the Consumer Services Manager/Receptionist/Awesome-All-Around-Girl-Friday and thought I’d share a little about my first (EVER) experience drinking the Mint & Honey Sweet Tea. My first thought was, “OHMYGAWD! It’s freaking awesome.” My next thoughts were around how I should share my thoughts with all of you; so here I am.
I came to Sweet Leaf Tea after almost 5 years at Whole Foods Market. Due to what I learned at Whole Foods Market in regards to eating natural foods, I have been working towards a full life-style change. With a lot of hard work, I went from almost 300 lbs a little over a year ago to hovering just over 200 lbs. I have a lot of hard work ahead of me but I am confident that I can achieve my goal. I have been a Coke and iced tea fan my whole life but since this change, I have limited my caffeine intake and my sugar intake. I do not sweeten my tea, so that part is easy, but getting off the Cokes was a challenge. To be honest, I do still indulge in Mexican Cokes (they contain real cane sugar-like our teas, instead of high fructose corn syrup) a couple of times a month but I can drink iced tea any time just to get a bit of a punch without any sugar. I have tried many of the Sweet Leaf Teas in my time and have clung to the Lemon & Lime Unsweet Tea.
After asking folks on Twitter yesterday to tell us what their favorite flavor was, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try the Mint & Honey. This brings me back to posting on The Sip. WOW! Who knew a bottled tea could be this incredible? I surely didn’t! I think because it’s Halloween and I am feeling in the spirit of things (as one of the ONLY folks in the office dressed up today) that I will enjoy the whole 120 calories (60 calories per 8 oz serving) today rather than letting my guilt, er life-style change force me to just smile and drink the Lemon & Lime Unsweet Tea. I want to be clear that I LOVE the Lemon & Lime Unsweet Tea, too.
The inside of my lid says, “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you”, and I am inclined to think that statement is insanely accurate this day and age. I am proud of this hand that is feeding my family and me and I am proud of the products we create. We create smiles! Like the huge one plastered on my face right now thanks to Mint & Honey Sweet Tea!
