I know it’s been a week since Lollapalooza was completed, but I am just now getting my head on straight after the whirlwind of good times and hard work!
Another year in “The Windy” is completed and the @SweetLeafTea‘m couldn’t of had a better time! Great bands, good food, and great sights! Even through the heavy rain on Sunday, we trucked through to spread some Homemade Goodness through the iconic festival and have a great time doing it! Now, without further ado, below are my top 5 moments at Lollapalooza!
#5 – Sweet Leaf Tea Balloons at OK GO!
#4 – Dancing to Two Door Cinema Club
#3 – Bobbing with the Cool Kids on Stage!
Fresh off the press, When fish ride Bicycles, the rocked their newest record to the fullest!
#2 – Watching it Pour while Best Coast Sang in the Sunny Times w/ @SweetLeafCharla
It was just about to pour when me and SweetLeafCharla made it on stage for Best Coast and under a tent, then the flood gates opened, and the crowd went wild. We were just happy to see a great band under the rain shielding sound tent. ;o)
Look closely at the 44 sec markeer for the blue poncho enter the tent, that’s me!

Barton Springs Clean Up Day!

How sweet it is, hometown Austin TX, as we get a chance to pair up Sweet Leaf Tea, an Austin favorite, with hot summer days soaking at Barton Springs, the crowning jewel of our fair city.
Join us this coming Thursday, August 11th, for the annual Council Cleans the Pool Day, hosted by The Friends of Barton Springs Pool, co-sponsored by Sweet Leaf Tea!
Who are the Friends of Barton Springs Pool? We are anyone who enjoys cool, clear spring waters, and takes a little time to keep the sparkle twinkling in this ecological jewel with our volunteer organization.
What are we going to do? We do the zen pushbrooming conga line, we do polish the shine where algae leaves slime, we do beautify the landscape, we soak in the pool while it’s closed to everyone else for cleaning (usually on the first Thursdays of each month), we have fun, we smile, we sweat, and we reward the sweet sweat of your labours with Sweet Leaf Tea and other sundry and delicious vittles provided by local businesses Thursday August 11th at our Council Cleans the Pool Day!
All are welcome!
We will be down at the pool all day from 8am till 6pm. 2 hour shifts available. Bring sun protection and clothes you don’t mind working/getting wet in. Please let us know what time you will be joining us so we can plan the tasks and refreshments accordingly.

Lollapalooza is finally here!

I just woke up with the biggest smile! Not only is it gorgeous and beautiful weather outside, but I’m in Chicago and Grant Park is calling my name. Lollapalooza is one of my favorite all-time favorite events with Sweet Leaf and this year is really going to be amazing. It’s the 25th Anniversary of Lollapalooza—honestly, it’s hard for me to believe it’s been around that long and Perry Farrell is old enough to have a 25 year old festival!
We’ve got a whole tea’m here in Chi-town ready to sling tea, keep the masses refreshed and make sure we all have a little fun along the way. In fact, if you stacked all the cans of tea that we sold last year vertically in a straight line towards the sky, you’d have 5.359 miles of cans. Imagine the tea’m needed to build that! Lollapalooza Round 2!
I can’t believe it is less than a week until I will be in lovely Chi-town slingin’ some Sweet Leaf Tea with my awesome tea’mates. This will be my second year attending Lolla and I couldn’t be more excited.
Last year was my practice round…this year I’m gonna be a Lolla pro!
When I’m not passing out the best tea on the planet, you can find me jamming to my favorite bands. This year, I have a huge dilemma- Coldplay or Muse? Gwyneth Paltrow’s handsome hubby or Kate Hudson’s baby daddy? Of course they are both playing at the same time Friday night! I love them both and I can’t decide! Might just come to the toss of a coin!
Lollapalooza tip: Bring a poncho! We’ve got a 50% chance of scattered T-storms on Friday in Chicago, folks!
And believe me- I am not letting anything rain on my parade! (pun intended)
