Earlier this month, I took a little weekend trip to my former home of Oregon to visit friends in PDX and hit the slopes at Mt. Bachelor in Bend. It was a quick trip, but I had just enough time to get in most of the things that I love about the area including: Stumptown, Pinot Noir, Tuk Tuk, Deschutes Black Butte Porter, tall snowy trees, steel bridges….Really, I could keep going. It’s not quite like Portlandia, but then again it kind of is.

I have a lot of friends in the Portland area that have seen me posting, tweeting and such about Sweet Leaf Tea. Some of them have seen the brand at boutique deli’s and such, but many have told me that they have never even seen it (gasp!).

Well, that’s all changing now! I’m proud to report that Granny has officially made her way all the way up to the Pacific Northwest. While loading up for the ski trip at Fred Meyer, I happened to see a full stocked shelf of Sweet Leaf Tea in the natural section.

5 for $5—Time to stock up!

I also stopped into a new local pub called Breakside Brewery (delish waffle fries with blue cheese!) and saw that they carried Sweet Leaf Tea.

Who can resist Elephant Deli’s delicious Tomato Orange Soup? Not me. Especially with a Sweet Tea to balance the meal.

Tomato Orange Soup!

Although I didn’t get to visit the home of the Trailblazers this trip (I miss watching LaMarcus Aldridge-Hook’em!), I know for a fact that you can now pick up a Sweet Leaf Tea in the Rose Garden to keep that throat of yours from going dry amongst all the cheering.

So, there it is friends. Granny is on the way to your hood. If you find one, pick it up and give it a go. Be sure to let me know what you think. Mint & Honey is my personal favorite.

This lip balm is the bomb on the slopes.

Now, you see why I needed that lip balm!
