Everyone knows a meal is not complete without a heart healthy salad. Turns out, our Mint & Honey Green Tea makes for an excellent dressing and marinade. Not to mention, it happens to go deliciously with Danny’s The Original Glazed Porkchop on the side!

Here’s the scoop, on how to make a Mint & Honey Strawberry Salad. On tiny little note, I cook like Justin Wilson—a pinch of this, a pour of that and a swig here and there. Until you get it the way you like.

Ingredients:

-Package of fresh strawberries

-Cucumber

-Fresh spinach

-Avocado

-Slivered Almonds

-Sweet Leaf Tea Mint & Honey

-Olive Oil

-Fresh Mint

-White wine vinegar

-Salt & pepper

After washing all the veggies, I chopped the strawberries and cucumbers and put them in a bowl. Chop a little fresh mint and add that in, too. Next, pop open a bottle of Sweet Leaf Mint & Honey and pour in enough to douse the strawberries and cucumber concoction. Let them marinate for several hours in the fridge.

Next, start on the dressing. Mix together olive oil, Sweet Leaf Mint & Honey, White wine vinegar, fresh chopped mint, salt and pepper. I kind of tasted as I went, until I could say, “Oooooooo.”

After the strawberries and cucumbers are done marinating, pour your Popeye greens in a big bowl. Pour the strawberries and cucumbers and a little liquid over the spinach. Add the sliced avocado on top. Sprinkle with slivered almonds. Give your dressing mixture a good swirl or stir and add to salad as you see fit. Toss and enjoy! As Justin Wilson would say, “I GUARANTEE” it’s good.

If you have a tea-inspired recipe that’s lip-smackin’ good, be sure to send us a picture to sltfan@sweetleaftea.com and if we post it here on the blog, we’ll send you a few bottles of your chosen flavor.
