Blog post by Janet Shu, rock-star Intern.
“Welcome to the Tea’m!” Those were the first words towards becoming a part of this family (dogs included). Starting my internship at Sweet Leaf Tea has been very surreal. Tea, keg, dogs running around the office, ping pong breaks, friendly faces – all the perks of the company. My first week is not over yet, but the days are flying right before my eyes.
Kathryn, my intern partner every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (she’s stuck with me) strained our eyes on the computers to do some intense researching. Towards the end of the first day, our hard work paid off with the sweet victory of a ping pong match vs. Happy.
Our second day at the office was filled with multiple projects and tasks which kept Kat and I busy. I never knew how much fun unpacking tea can be along with bubble wrap stacked towards the ceiling. Oh the ideas of what we can do with bubble wrap are limitless and can put a cunning smile on your face. Kat has been scheming to wrap me up with it and take a picture!
All I want to do at the end of the day is drink some Raspberry SLT, and apparently so do all my friends who take it from me. Everyone seems to just want a piece of Granny!
I am really excited for what the rest of the semester has in store for me, and I must say the forecast is looking positive. It’s the dream internship
This one is for you, April: SLT FTW!
