It was nearly impossible to escape grunge rock in the 90s. I loved it! Alice in Chains was one of my favorite bands so I was thrilled to find out Sweet Leaf Tea would be a sponsor in the Buzzfest XXIII Backstage Artist Lounge, a music fest Alice in Chains was headlining. I was especially pleased to find out William DuVall, lead signer of Alice in Chains loves Mint and Honey and buys is regularly at his local Whole Foods. It’s my favorite flavor too!

Not only would we serve up Tito’s Sweet-O’s to the guys from Chains, but would also meet Puddle of Mud, Our Lady Peace, Chevelle, Saving Abel, Tantric, Framing Hanley, Nilly Boy on Poison, Janus and many more. The weather was perfect festival weather, which you have to be thankful for in Houston, and The Woodlands Pavilion had been sold out for weeks. Sweet Leaf Tea and Tito’s Vodka stirred it up in the backstage lounge near the tour buses.

Each band was able to stroll through the backstage artist lounge and pick up a variety of rock star essentials. We made sure they had a drink in hand as they loaded their bags with gifts from official sponsors including X-Treme Lashes, Watto Distinctive Metal Wear, Tejas Custom Boots, The Horror Project, Anama Clothing, Strings by Aurora, Buitar Hands, Hard Rock Cafe, Kingmand Training, CREAM, Party Cloths of Houston and Forged Clothing.

Win that GUITAR!
