Hey SLT readers, I just started interning at Sweet Leaf a few weeks ago with Jackie, Jon, and Kyle. I first heard about the company during South By Southwest last year at the PureVolume Party downtown: free vodka, beer, live music, and, of course, Sweet Leaf Tea. After that party, I was hooked on Sweet Leaf for months (especially my favorite—Half n Half), so when I heard about Sweet Leaf’s internship opportunities, I immediately applied.

That's me sharing the love!
Jackie has a bit different story of how she first came to Sweet Leaf. She was working right next door to the SLT offices at Dominican Joe for about 3 years and always saw Happy, Danny, and other interns running around the parking lot having fun loading up tea and promo materials and decided that it looked like a lot more fun than other internships around town.
She was right. So far the internship has been a little too much fun. Jackie and I work on the same days and have had some adventures so far going on errands around town in the BIG SLT truck and blasting Red Hot Chili Peppers while we work in the downstairs storage space. We are at work right now helping Charla decorate bottles for the Emmy Awards’ Eco-Emmy’s tent where she’ll be handing out SLT goodies to the stars (yeah, we’re a bit jealous of her) and hoping that they’ll choose SLT as their next drink-of-choice. While we spend a lot of time here in the office, you’ll see us out of the office, passing out tea regularly at different events around town or doing demos in grocery stores. Be sure to come by say hey if you see us! I was at the UT tailgate a couple weekends ago, and Jackie was at the Women’s Run this past Sunday. We’ve been filming and taking pictures of all of our events, so those will be posted soon. I’m the one that’s incredibly awkward on camera.

The crowds, they love us!
Outside of work this past weekend, you may have run into me at the Autobus recording studio party with my friends from Sunset or at Perpetual Groove the weekend before that, and Jackie told me that she went to the Ugly Beats show on Saturday. If you haven’t run into us yet, I’m sure you’ll see us at some point whether at be at ACL or at another tailgate. Later!!

We've got spirit how bout you?
