Sweet Leaf Tea reaches 12,000 in LA!!

The LA Race for the Cure event that was held at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on  Sunday March 15th was a huge success!!  With a little help from my friends, we gave out 500 cases of 12oz bottles, potentially reaching 12,000 in LA!!!  YIKES!!  It was a bit of madness but well worth it!  I’ve already started hearing from folks at demos that they, “tried our tea at the Race for the Cure event in Pasadena”! ….. Cool beans man! :)

Back in January, we received the following note on our Facebook Fan Page from Mary Tran:

Mary Rose Tran: Hey, are y’all still available at Sam’s Club? I remember reading an article about it, but couldn’t find it at my local Sam’s. I’d like 300 bottles for my wedding please! :D

I wrote her back letting her know where she could find Sweet Leaf Tea in bulk, which unfortunately was not at Sam’s Club. (If you’re curious, you can always buy us by the case at a 10 % discount from your local Whole Foods Market.) We talked a little back and forth and I let her know that we’d sell her some tea from our office at a discount if she let us Brand her wedding in some way.

She decided that it would be fun to have some of her engagement pictures taken at our office, on the roof with Granny as well has have some of our Limited Edition Mason Jars as center pieces at her reception. We whole-heartedly agreed and the pictures displayed here are from the Mary Tran Rich Lee SLT Engagement Photo Shoot Extravaganza!  Feel free to check out more photos on our Fb Photo Page.

The awesomely-fun couple will be married in Austin on 7/11/2009.

Austin Tea Party is Coming Your Way!

It’s our third year to host the Austin Tea Party – a weeklong fundraiser benefiting a charity that is close to our hearts, Big Brothers Big Sisters – and boy, are we excited! We’ve got some amazing partners to help raise funds for the organization. So, for all of you Austinites who want to participate, stop by any Amy’s Ice Creams, Mangia Pizza, or Tacodeli any day next week. They are promoting some sweet deals that give back to BBBS:

OTHER SWEET LEAF FUN:  There are a few other events we’re involved with (RollingStone.com interview lounge, Gibson Guitar Showroom, LP33.tv interview lounge, etc) but will not be open to the general public.  We will also have teams roving the streets with our new Vespas with sidecars, refreshing the masses.  A few other tricks up our sleeves as well that I won’t disclose for element of surprise’s sake.  Keep your eyes peeled — we’re going to be EVERYWHERE!
